How limited am I with a ipod touch wifi?
right now i have a delima. I could either get a sidekick or an ipod touch. Im mainly concered with the internet on the ipod touch. I travel alot to different cities and such and wonder if wifi will be in urban areas. is internet better on a sidekick or an ipod? if the sidekick is better, how far away from a hotspot can i be?
Im a little confused with what you really asking but ill try to answer as best as possible. I have a 16GB ipod touch. I use the wifi feature and i absolutely love it. Its just as fast as my Cable connection on my computer and it shows the pages the same way except for pages with Flash or Java. Overall it really depends on what you want because the Sidekick can be used as a phone but the Ipod Touch cant. Also the sidekick doesnt show web pages like the Touch does. the sidekick only shows HTML and is really slow. I love the Touch and its features but if your willing to sacrifice good internet browsing for a phone capability then get the sidekick.
As far as the wifi question goes. Wifi is more common than T-mobile Hotspots because wifi can connect to networks that dont have passwords. So wifi is extremely common in urban areas because many people have networks in their home(such as myself) and business' also have them. Every starbucks has wifi and most cafes do to. So wifi is much more common than T-mobile hotspots and in some cases, works much more efficiently.
