I bought a new virus software and office software. Isn't there any way for me to do it all myself, without paying someone to do it for me?

Hi!
So I got an Acer laptop from costco a month ago. I started using it and testing it out, but now I dont like it and I want to return it [ costco has a 90 day return policy for computer and TVs and etc~ ]
I just want to delete everything on my computer so I could return it. I already deleted all of the downloads I downloaded. But when I click Network, it has a file with my name on it and I dont know how to delete that file or rename it. I also dont want the people accessing my wireless internet, so do I just click "disconnect" on my wireless internet?\
Is there a way to change everything the way it was before I started using it or no?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Use the restore partition or backup disc that came with the comp to restore it to its factory state I would suggest NOT getting a mac of any kind, if you are going to spend that kind of money go buy a HP laptop with twice the ram and features for less. If you dont like windows put Linux on it and have fun.
if thats not a good answer for you, i would suggest at least researching the macbook pro and it huge price for no advantage, and then research a name brand windows laptop first and compare.

Ensure that you have saved all the necessary files to the good computer or to a USB device. Recovering all files won’t be possible. But tech support team suggests saving the important office documents, music files, database and video files.

When you have completed the recovery process, you need to unplug the USB when in safely remove hardware mode.

Now turn the disassembled computer off and you now need to remove the AC outlet from the USB to IDE adapter. From the hard drive remove the white plug. Now reinstall the hard drive that was unreadable. Plug in the IDE cable. Ensure that you have plugged the white power cord. Place the case in place.

Arrange everything in place. Turn the main computer on. Now you need to run a system recovery in full. Plug in the USB where you saved all the retrieved data and save these on your restored PC. Reinstall all the needed software and get going.

Question by Tyler Mapboy: What's wrong with my computer? Help?
I was playing Dawn of War 2 and it was working fine so I shut it down for a while, come back and now when ever I start playing Dawn of War 2 all the units are invisible and so are all the map features, all I can see is the map and shadows. It's very fustrating if anyone else has had the same problem and knows a solution or anything please tell me, thanks.

Computer Help With Windows Remote Assistance

While working on your computer system, you may face any technical issue either with its peripherals or with any software. In this condition, you want to get computer help from someone.

In case you are working on Windows 7 operating system, you can use Windows Remote Assistance to get help from any person. You can either use Easy Connect in order to connect to another person, or you can use an invitation file.

When you are going to allow another person to connect with your computer, you should close open programs or documents. When you will use Easy Connect method, Remote Assistance will generate a password, which you will give to that person from whom you want help.

The person will use that password in order to connect with your computer. When that person gets connected with your computer, contact information is exchanged between your computer and helper's computer.

You can follow these steps, to utilize Easy Connect method on Windows 7 based PC:

STEP 1: Click on Start button, in the search box, type Remote Assistance, and then, in the list of results, click on Windows Remote Assistance.

STEP 2: Click “Help someone who has invited you”.

STEP 3: If you've used Easy Connect before you can select from a list of previous contacts. But in case you have never used Easy Connect method before, click Use Easy Connect. To connect to a contact not available on the list, click “Help someone new”.

STEP 4: Follow the screen instructions.

In case, the person from you wants help has a different version of Windows operating system, then you can use an invitation file.

Follow these steps; to use an invitation file on a Windows 7 based PC:

STEP 1: Click on Start button, in the search box, type Remote Assistance. You will receive a list of results, click on Windows Remote Assistance.

STEP 2: Click “Help someone who has invited you”.

STEP 3: Click Use an invitation file and locate the invitation that you received from the person you're trying to help. In case, you have used Easy Connect, click on Help someone new in the contact list, so that, you can view the options for using an invitation file.

STEP 4: Follow the screen instructions.

With the completion of above steps, your computer gets connected with the helper's computer and your problem gets resolved.

In case, your technical issue remains intact, you can also contact any technical service provider for computer help. Technician from the selected service provider will access your computer via remote connection. After accessing your computer, technician will diagnose it carefully and perform the necessary steps in order to resolve your technical issue.

Computer Help On Defragmenting Computer

In Windows Operating System the files are placed in the free space of the hard drive. The files are stored not in one physical place. As a result a file can be stored in a fragmented way. With the passing of time a computer could have hundreds of fragmented files. These files can be stored broken up in different locations in the hard drive which slow down the performance of the PC. The reason behind this slow performance is the fact that when the PC becomes fragmented with hundreds of files the response time of the computer increases because it takes more time to access information from the fragmented locations. As a result using a defrag program for you computer helps speeding up your computer.

If you defrag your computer with some computer help from experts the process can help your computer to place all pats of a file together on a same place. It organizes and places all the directories and files in a way how you use them. So after the defragmentation program it is certain that your computer will run faster than before.

Before defragmenting your PC you need to make sure you have back up of everything. Computer help experts suggest that you need to check your hard drive health too. They suggest using CHKDSK to scan and to fix any problem in the hard drive.

Now you need to close all the programs that are open. Computer help experts suggest that you need to make sure a constant power supply. If there is any possibility of power outrage you must use the battery backup. Your computer can crash or the operating system can corrupt or both of these can happen at a single time if in the middle of a defragmenatation process the power supply is broken.

Computer help exerts now want you to open the Defrag program. Now you need to click on the button ‘Start'. You will need to locate the  Disk Defragmentation program. You need to open the program and click on the program icon. Then you should go to Accessories icon and click it. You must click on System Tools icon and then click on System Tools icon.

Now you must click the Analyze button and analyze the hard drive whether it needs defragmentaion or not. The result screen will tell you whether you should carry on a defragmentation or not. If the result says that your hard drive does not need it then you must not be benefited much by doing it. Otherwise, you should go on to defrag your hard drive.

If the analyze program result suggest that your hard drive needs defragmentation you can go ahead with it. Click on the button Defragment. Now you will have to give time to run the program. The program will take some time. The time can vary from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the issues like the speed of the processor, the memory, the fragmentation process etc. When the process complete, you will need to close the program.

The case with the hard drive is quite the same. Two types of hard drives can be found in the market. The older version is named as ATA and the newer version is called SATA. Most recent motherboards   support both the SATA and the ATA but some motherboards support only the newer version SATA. Though your new motherboard should be compatible with the newer version of hard drive but computer help experts suggest that when you are choosing to buy a motherboard go for the one that supports both types of the hard drive.
